Who are we?

Hi, I'm Lina Sarrello, a filmmaker passionate about empowering marginalized voices and women. My filmmaking journey stems from a desire to highlight issues that often remain in the shadows.

This project is personal to me. For over a decade, I’ve cared for my father, aunt, and now my mother, all affected by different forms of dementia. Caregiving is a journey of love, resilience, and sacrifice, rewarding yet heartbreaking. Through this experience, I’ve witnessed the strength needed to care for someone, the community it involves, and the humanity often overlooked in those living with this disease.

That’s why I’m dedicating my heart to this film, All of My Dreams, a musical dramedy about friendship, family, and forgiveness. It reflects the inner world of someone with dementia while showcasing the struggles and triumphs of their caregivers. This project is not just my MFA thesis at Stony Brook University—it’s a tribute to caregivers and the beautiful souls living with dementia who deserve recognition.

We're fortunate to have Andrea Navedo (Jane the Virgin) lead the cast, along with a team of passionate friends who share my vision. Together, we’re creating a film that raises awareness of the challenges caregivers face, celebrates family love, and advocates for understanding in this journey.
